From Saturday 2nd – Sunday 3rd February, Rockliffe Hall is hosting its first Artisan Food Fair to launch its eight-day Festival of Food. Taking place from 10am to 4pm each day, the Artisan Food Fair is the perfect day out for food and drink lovers and includes stalls of artisan produce, street food, spirit schools and live chef demonstrations.
We’ve rounded up some of the region’s best producers who will selling mouth-watering sweet treats:
Urban Fudge
A stop at Urban Fudge’s stall is a must. Selling tasty, hand-made fudge creations based on an original, age-old recipe which has been brought into the modern era with style and flavour, enjoy flavours like banoffee, cherry bakewell, turkish delight and peanut butter.
Northumberland Honey Co
Northumberland Honey Company care for 150 colonies of bees in Northumberland, cared for by Luke & Suzie with their apprentice beekeeper Matt. The range of products from the bees include honey, beeswax, candles, honey chocolates, and light and dry meads.
Burtree Puddings
The award-winning Burtree Puddings produces a range of delicious traditional puddings that are irresistible. The Sticky Toffee Pudding is always a clear winner, as well as the Chocolate Pudding, Orange Marmalade Pudding, and Golden Syrup Pudding. Be sure to pick up some rich sticky jars of sauce to go along with it too.
North Chocolates
Hand-made artisan chocolates that take inspiration from the North East region. Stock up on Lindisfarne 48% Milk Honey bar, Durham Cathedral Single Origin 65% with Hazelnuts, or Tyne Bridge – Single Origin 45% Milk. There are also a range of unusual but popular flavours such as Earl Grey Tea, Yuzu and Roasted Sesame Seeds, and Rosemary and Lemon Sea Salt.
