A corker of an event is set to be held at The Devonshire Arms.
The venue, in Skipton, in the Yorkshire Dales, will welcome special guest Edouard Moueix to The Burlington restaurant.
Edouard is executive vice president and third generation custodian of his family wine business, Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix, a name synonymous with the best wines of the Bordeaux region.
This event, held on Wednesday, September 11th, is in association with Corney & Barrow, Independent Wine Merchants.
Edouard will be presenting some superb wines from his family’s estates in Pomerol and St. Émilion. The selection includes Château La Fleur-Pétrus and Château Hosanna from Pomerol, and Château Bélair-Monange Premier Grand Cru Classé from Saint-Émilion
A five-course seasonal tasting menu will accompany the wines, prepared by head chef Paul Leonard, served at 8pm. The evening will commence at 7.30pm with a Champagne reception and canapés.
Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix, was founded in 1937 and is one of the world’s most highly regarded producers and distributors of wines from Bordeaux and the Napa Valley, California. Edouard Moueix joined the business in 2003, and since then has developed a sister company, Autres Rivages, which is a distributor for Left Bank and Californian wines.
Tickets are £225 per person, and for those wishing to stay overnight, the dining event, with bed and breakfast is £599 per couple (sharing a twin or double room)
