The Clucking Pig Co is a North Yorkshire-based Scotch Egg manufacturer and retailer selling a wide range of delicious Scotch Eggs to the trade and public.
If you’ve ever been to a food festival in the North East or Yorkshire, you’ll know that you have to get there fast if you want any of The Clucking Pig Co’s Scotch eggs.
As by noon, you can guarantee they’ve sold out – and that’s with 2000 Scotch eggs.
So why do people have to be first in line to get The Clucking Pig Co’s goods? This super tasty product range features everything from rare breed pork with chorizo, Scotch egg and rare breed pork and fresh blood black pudding Scotch egg to wild Yorkshire venison, a full monty breakfast style and veggies options too.
Owners David and Christine Laing decided to make good use of their 4-acre small holding, near Saltburn by the Sea, to start up the artisan food business. Their ethos is to use only the best produce they can find, from free range chicken, duck and goose eggs, to the best free range and rare breed meat. They source only the best produce, working with farmers and gamekeepers, whose ethos aligns with David and Christine’s: animals roam free and have a good quality of life.
The Clucking Pig Co sell into delis, shops, restaurants and other venues and you can check out a full list of stockists on their website.
You can also buy directly online, direct from their Egg Shop. A delivery service is available each week for those living in the TS1 and TS20 postcodes. There is a minimum order of £10 and delivery is £1.
For those outside those postcodes, a £10 shipping fee applies.

This one’s David’s own creation. A vegetarian himself, he’s mixed veggies, kale, spinach, lemon juice, chilli and a spicy Indian-based mix to create a Scotch egg that’s nothing short of sensational. Available for £3 from the Egg Shop.
Wild Yorkshire pheasant, sourced from gamekeepers and game dealers, mixed with a little pork, chillies and garlic seasoning. Available for £3 from the Egg Shop.
