Attention class! Prepare for a lesson like no other at Savour’s Spirit Schools.
Part of Rockliffe Hall’s Artisan Food Fair Weekend from 2nd-3rd February, the Spirit School events will be taking place in the stunning Morning Room, in the heart of Rockliffe Hall’s Old Hall, and will be led by a team of experts who will guide each tasting.
Guests can be taken on a journey of their chosen spirit and sample up to six different drinks. Choose from Gin School (£25 for five G&Ts), Rum School (£25 for five rum tastings) or Whisky School (£35 for six whisky tastings).
GIN SCHOOL
12noon – Saturday 2nd February (SOLD OUT) & Sunday 3rd February
A GINspirational journey of gin where guests will learn how to drink the quintessential British spirit. From artisan gins, to flavour profiles and how to pair and garnish your gin, the GINstuctors with help guests become a gin-ius when it comes to knowing all about the spirit.
£25, 5 G&Ts and garnishes included.
As part of Gin School on Sunday 3rd February at 12pm ONLY, Tom Brown will be making a special meet and greet appearance, and participants will be able to have a specially prepared gin-infused oyster amuse bouche, created by Tom, to enjoy along with the gin tastings.
This is a one-off event, and is included in the price of a Gin School ticket for 12pm, Sunday 3rd February at Rockliffe Hall’s Artisan Food Fair.
WHISKY SCHOOL
1.45pm – Saturday 2nd February and Sunday 3rd February
A guided talk about this complex spirit, plus tastings.
£35, 6 whisky tastings included.
RUM SCHOOL
3.15pm – Saturday 2nd February and Sunday 3rd February
The rise of rum. Is Pirates’ plonk the next craft spirit? Rum School will tell the tale of the rise of this craft spirit – and feature tastings too.
£25, 5 rums included.
