After a multi-million-pound refurbishment, The County Hotel – featuring The Hudson restaurant – is putting the swank into staying over in Newcastle city centre.
STAY
Indulge in some serious luxury with an overnight stay in the new West Wing. Featuring 17 bedrooms, from suites to deluxe doubles, the West Wing refurbishment – which was completed in March – is the latest addition to this knock-out hotel’s offering. If it’s an evening of all-out luxe you’re after, then the Presidential Suite or Penthouse is for you.
EAT
The Hudson offers a playful take on traditional British Cuisine – with the menu overseen by head chef Jim Hall.
From light lunchtime meals to three-course affairs, dining at the Hudson is diverse. Hide away in one of the snugs, or dine in style in the VIP area. The restaurant pays homage to Railway King George Hudson, a pioneering figure of the 19th century Northern Railway scene, and the interior is inspired by the luxury railcars of the past.
