Originally a Coaching Inn built by Hugh Percy, 3rd Duke of Northumberland, in the 1820s, the building has been lovingly restored to offer all modern luxuries, with cosy indoor and outdoor seating areas – including a heated tipi – and six five-star en-suite bedrooms.
It has built a reputation for fantastic food, with the seasonal menus crafted by talented chefs who use Northumberland’s larder where possible.

The Northumberland Arms has a large outdoor seating area where guests can soak up the views of the tranquil Northumberland village, the stunning river Coquet, and a 16th-Century bridge.

The country pub is full of charm and character – wonderfully cosy yet full of modern touches. There are a range of drinks available at the bar including real ales on tap, a huge variety of gin and a selection of tonic from Northumberland-based Artisan Drinks Co.
On The Menu
The restaurant menu features delights such as garlic roast chicken breast with potato terrine, caramelised shallot purée and confit leg bon bon and pan-fried salmon with buttered new season asparagus, new potatoes and mustard butter sauce. There are a variety of pub classics and street food dishes, including Korean bao buns, lamb flatbreads, chicken shawarma and more, with prices starting from £5.50 for starters and £11.95 for mains.
Sticky toffee puddings, chocolate terrine and grapefruit posset can be found on the dessert menu and prices start from £4.95.
Sunday lunch is not to be missed, with a selection of meat and veggie options.

Opening Times
The Northumberland Arms is open every day from 10am until 11pm except on Saturdays when they close at 10:30pm.
Food is served Monday to Saturday from 11am to 8pm and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm.
