The Seaview Restaurant has launched guilt-free breakfasts, brunches and is serving up cocktails from a master of mixology on evenings. We get the low down.
Waves crashing against the shore, turmeric lattes, matcha waffles, sustainably sourced seafood and a cocktail menu that’s been produced by a leading mixologist – The Seaview Restaurant is exactly where you need to be.
HEALTH STOP
“The new menu is an explosion of colour, it’s like pop art,” says owner Glenn Pearson.

“We’ve got the views, the beachfront where people practise yoga and the health-conscious crowd who have tapped into the cool café scene that’s served up in the likes of Soho and Shoreditch, so it made perfect sense for us to bring something unique to Saltburn by the Sea.”
Expect butterfly pea flower lattes – full of antioxidants – energy boosting matcha waffles amongst eggs benedict and smashed avocado for breakfast.

TOP CATCH
Tuck into seaside favourites fish and chips by day, while by night The Seaview Restaurant turns into a swanky haunt for seafood lovers. Think scallops served with celeriac tartare sauce; soft shell crab in a curried tempura and surf and turf.

COCKTAIL O’CLOCK
From gin trees to 12-year old rum, the new cocktail menu has been carefully crafted by a leading mixologist. “We’ve got gins from around the world: from England, Ireland and Scotland to Western Europe and the Amalfi Coast, in Italy,” says Glenn.
Malfi Gin features costal-grown Italian lemons, the Bramble liqueur which is now on the menu has been made by Jason Scott and Mike Aikman, owners of Bramble in Edinburgh – the first bar outside of London to be voted in the World’s Top Bars. They use handpicked Scottish blackcurrants in the drink. Jawbox Gin from Belfast features three, secret botanicals and is perfectly served with ginger ale – which originated from Belfast in the 17th century.
“We didn’t want anything molecular or too extravagant, just top end ingredients where people can sit on the sun kissed terrace, look out to the sea and enjoy the perfect G&T moment.”
