The Coach House, in the grounds of North Yorkshire’s Middleton Lodge Estate, has launched a new, all-day menu with homegrown produce at its heart.
All-day dining, laid-back vibes and home-grown produce are the key ingredients of The Coach House’s new menu. It coincides with the launch of the Estate’s Kitchen Garden, by renowned landscape designer Tom Stuart-Smith; which has been two years in the making and is now producing food for the Coach House restaurant.
Guests can now expect an all-day menu with Mediterranean influenced Yorkshire food, and serious emphasis on fresh, simple flavours. Every dish is set to have an element from either the estate grounds, Kitchen Garden or the woodlands; from fruit in the cocktails, herbs in the soups to freshly grown vegetables.
On the ever-changing brunch menu, served Monday to Saturday, expect French toast with rhubarb and pistachios, eggs with avocado and chilli or a smoked salmon omelette finished with crème fraîche and harvested chives.
James Allison, owner of the Middleton Lodge Estate, says: “We want people to feel like they can spend the day lounging in The Coach House and enjoying the gardens. From a locally roasted coffee and slice of cake in the morning to a fresh garden salad or pasta for lunch. In the evening, it’s time to order one of our locally reared steaks.”
Originally launched in October 2014, The Coach House at Middleton Lodge has won a string of accolades under the leadership of head chef Gareth Rayner – including being awarded 3 AA Rosettes last year.
James adds: “The food served at The Coach House over the past three years has been incredible, the chef team has transformed our restaurant into a renowned eating establishment in the North of England. Our new menu will still include that same level of quality, skill and authenticity, but it will now take a more laid back, rustic approach that features something for everyone, from a mid-week dinner after work, a Friday supper with a loved one to a lazy weekend lunch with friends.
“But don’t worry, the food style currently served at The Coach House that our loyal customers come back time and time again for won’t be leaving the estate. We’re working on some exciting plans with Gareth and his renowned team and later this year The FORGE is coming.”
The new all-day menu is served from 7.30am until 9.30pm. Walk ins are welcome. For more information visit middletonlodge.co.uk
