Opinionated About Dining (OAD) – the only dining survey that factors experience into its rating system – will be hosting two glittering evenings of culinary excellence on the 19th and 20th May at San Sebastian, in Spain.
Each year, OAD shares lists of the top restaurants within various global regions, as voted for by the website’s knowledgeable reviewers. Based on reviews by over 6,000 voters, the list is the only global restaurant guide that considers a diner’s gastronomic background and restaurant reviewing experience, as well as the quality of restaurants they visit, when tabulating the results.
Steve Plotnicki, the founder of OAD, is one of the most prolific voices in the global restaurant community and founded his restaurant blog in 2003 as a platform through which to share his global dining experiences. This rapidly grew into a community of like-minded food enthusiasts. Inviting readers to recommend establishments both prolific and undiscovered. The published results were well-regarded and Plotnicki has since shared the recommendations from his community annually.
This year OAD is proud to present a weekend of pop-ups and collaboration dinners leading up to the announcement of the 2019 TOP 100+ European Restaurant List in the Basque region of San Sebastián from 19th-20th May. The weekend will kick off with a dinner at the Basque Culinary Center on the 19th May that will feature chefs whose restaurants are debuting on the European list for 2019.
