Held on Monday, September 23, at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, the awards night gathered the UK’s hospitality elite to recognise outstanding achievements in the industry. Hosted by BAFTA-nominated broadcaster Angellica Bell, the event highlighted excellence across British hotels, restaurants, spas, inns, and B&Bs. The Angel at Hetton’s win marks a new high point for Yorkshire’s dining scene, setting a benchmark for culinary excellence in the region. This historic achievement is part of the prestigious AA Rosette scheme, which recognises restaurants that deliver food of the highest quality. The accolade, alongside its Michelin star, places The Angel at Hetton among the UK’s most distinguished dining establishments.

Other Yorkshire restaurants also celebrated their success at the awards, with Pignut, Skosh, and The Old Deanery all gaining 3 AA Rosettes, further solidifying Yorkshire’s position as a growing culinary hotspot. Chartwell, the fine dining restaurant located at Aldwark Manor Estate near York, was also awarded the coveted 3 AA Rosettes, marking a significant achievement for the newly opened restaurant.
Simon Numphud, Managing Director at AA Media, praised the achievements of all the winners:
“This year’s celebration is a true testament to the strength and innovation within our industry. The dedication and excellence demonstrated by all hospitality teams have been inspiring.”
