A Michelin Guide-listed restaurant in Durham is giving diners another reason to book a weekend treat by extending its popular complimentary wine pairing offer.
Faru, located on Silver Street, has announced that guests can enjoy a free wine pairing with its full tasting menu every Saturday lunchtime throughout April, representing a saving of £65 per person.
The modern British restaurant, run by husband-and-wife team Jake and Laura Siddle, introduced the offer in March and, following strong demand, has decided to continue it for another month.
Chef-owner Jake said: “Saturday lunch has become a really special service for us and a great way for guests to experience the full tasting menu in a more relaxed setting. Extending the complimentary wine pairing into April felt like the perfect way to welcome more people and allow them to enjoy the menu exactly as we intended – with thoughtfully chosen wines that elevate each course.
“We’re incredibly proud of what we’re building at Faru and this offer is our way of inviting more people to come and experience it.”
Faru has built a reputation for its ingredient-led approach to contemporary British dining and has earned recognition in the Michelin Guide. The restaurant offers an immersive tasting-menu experience in an intimate dining room with an open-plan kitchen, combining refined cooking with a relaxed atmosphere.
