One of the biggest awards shows for UK restaurants took place last night, where the 2024 National Restaurant Awards revealed its list of the top 100 restaurants in the UK.
The Ledbury made the top slot, which was great news for Brett Graham, and a raft of Northern venues also made the list with Cal Byerley’s Northumberland’s Restaurant Pine coming in at 12 and Josh and Victoria Overington’s Myse, in Hovingham coming in at 17. It was a double win for the couple who also scooped the Restauranteur of the Year award.

Simon Rogan’s L’Enclune, in Cartmel, came in at 20, while Kenny and Abbie Atkinson’s Solstice, in Newcastle, were placed at 26. Hjem, in Hexham, Northumberland, came in at 30, while The Angel at Hetton, North Yorkshire, was at 37 and The Black Swan at Oldstead, North Yorkshire, 41.
Restauranteurs took to social media after the awards celebrating their wins.
Kenny Atkinson, who owns Solstice, Newcastle, said: “We are absolutely delighted that our restaurant was placed at number 26 in the UK Top 100 National Restaurant Awards in London last night.”
The Angel at Hetton also celebrated their win, saying: “Thank you for the perfect evening to celebrate our wonderful industry. Fantastic to be placed at number 37. Thank you to our awesome team and all who voted for us.”
