Keep your cool this summer with hand-churned ice cream from The Factory Kitchen at The Biscuit Factory.
Sticky toffee pudding and coffee and walnut ice cream are just two of the flavours you’ll find at The Factory Kitchen.
The cafe, inside The Biscuit Factory, Newcastle, is headed up by seasoned chef Michael Waugh, whose team churns ice creams and sorbets in house.
You’ll find 18 ice creams available at all times, with signature flavours such as rose petal, elderflower, mango and passion fruit, vanilla pod and chocolate, as well as new seasonal flavours date and coconut over the summer.
The most popular flavours include the zesty orange and almond, and the indulgent lemon marmalade. The Earl Grey tea and malted biscuits flavour has proven a hit after a competition was held last year to search for a dream ice cream, inspired by the North East. We sure do love a cuppa – even in ice cream form!
Customers can create their own sundaes, ice cream floats with Fentimens drinks and milkshakes, or add a scoop of ice cream to homemade cakes, brownies or tortes from the cafe. The ice cream can also be made to order for weddings, parties or special occasions.
This summer The Factory Kitchen is teaming up with Travel Bureau to host Supper Club evenings — a unique dining and shopping experience that will take visitors on a tour of Europe, with a spotlight on Spain this month on Thursday 17th August.
