Savour: The Joy Edition – A Guide To Experiences That Are Good For The Soul is a digital magazine that’s packed with feel-good ideas for the summer.
The clicking of glasses, laughter with friends and family round a dinner table, finally being able to feast the eyes on new scenery while enjoying a staycation in a cottage or an overnight stay in a sumptuous hotel. Joy: something we have all longed to feel in our hearts again.
With the doors of hospitality finally open, we decided to do what we do best – and spread some happiness with Savour: The Joy Edition – A Guide To Experiences That Are Good For The Soul.
Our mission has always been to help feed our readers with the best experiences so they can create lasting memories.
From escaping to the Lakes and taking in the majestic mountains and a trip across Ullswater on the famous Steamers, to destination dining at one of the Michelin-starred restaurants in the North, it’s time to regain our senses; smell freedom in the air and taste good food and drink once more.

2020 taught us that we had a loyal following of foodie fans who trust us as an authority on food, drink, travel and experiences. When hospitality was forced to closed its doors, we quickly diversified from print to digital – as the 300 plus hospitality venues we were stocked in closed.. 20 thousand of you used our website each month looking for recipe ideas, drinks to stock the at home bar with and which chefs were offering at home restaurant boxes.
So, we continued to deliver – not only for our readers but we supported the industry in spreading positive vibes and shouted out about all those who diversified.
We transformed the print magazine to a digital one and were grateful when thousands of you downloaded it.
2020 also gave us time to think about the business direction; what Savour means to its readers and the businesses who advertise with us. We took the time to talk to our subscribers and there was a resounding respond:
“You’re our personal concierge service; a guide to helping us plan our foodie adventures,” Bev.
“It was though Savour that I discovered one of my now favourite restaurants: Issho in Leeds,” Emily.
“We’ve planned city breaks using Savour as our trusted guide to where to eat, drink and stay in places such as London and York,” David.
We listened – and, drum roll please, we came up with a plan. As well as doing a series of digital magazines, Savour Magazine will come back to life in print format this October – only this time as a Bookazine.
We’ve called it that because so many of you send us pictures of the magazine on your kitchen shelves – sat amongst recipe books – and on your coffee tables.
We’ve decided to shake things up – we’ll become a bigger product, with more pages filled with places to eat, drink and enjoy experiences at.
You will receive two copies of our Bookazine a year. One at the end of October and one in May.
We’ve even teamed up with brand partners to offer our Club Members exclusive offers – and we’ve hand-picked them all because we know and understand what you love.
You can still buy Savour: The Joy Edition as a digital magazine on its own – and once you pass checkout it will download onto your desktop, tablet and mobile phone.
Or, you can sign up to a year’s subscription where you will receive access to Savour: The Joy Edition, plus x2 Bookazines which will be delivered directly to your door. The first will be released at the end of October 2021 and the second at the end of May 2022. You will also get member perks such as access to paywall content.
And, anyone that signs up to either will be automatically entered into our brand partner competitions – and first up is an overnight stay at The Grand, York.
