Celebrated chef Simon Rogan is set to launch a one-of-a-kind farm experience in Cumbria this summer.
Simon Rogan’s A Day at Our Farm will launch in July and offer visitors a special tour of the farm followed by an alfresco lunch amongst the polytunnels and growing beds of Simon Rogan’s farm, ‘Our Farm’, in Cumbria.
Offering guests a unique immersion into the verdant epicentre of the Simon Rogan Group – where produce is cultivated for Simon’s Lake District restaurants L’Enclume, Rogan & Co, Henrock and Aulis Cartmel as well as Aulis in London – the A Day at Our Farm experience will welcome up to 16 guests per sitting and can be booked individually or as a whole table takeover.
Our Farm was established by Simon Rogan in 2011 and has since tripled in size. It has propelled him as a pioneer of the farm-to-fork movement in the UK, and in 2021 L’Enclume was awarded a Michelin Green Star for its efforts in the sustainability sphere as a result of the group’s in-house agricultural feats.
Open from Tuesday, July 4th through to mid September, on select Tuesdays each month, guests will begin with a pre-lunch farm tour with Head Farmer John Rowland and Our Farm Head Chef Liam Fitzpatrick.

With snacks served en route according to each growing bed, and bites created according to the produce available, John and Liam will lead guests around the farm, touring the expansive variety of ingredients cultivated by Simon and his farm team. The pair will also share details on the group’s sustainability practices including its mission to become zero waste as well as anecdotes about day-to-day farm life.
After the tour, guests will take a seat at the table where a sharing feast will be cooked and served by Liam, who will also talk about his role in preserving surplus produce from the farm.
Dishes will change according to farm availability and will include:
Braised lamb shoulder finished over coals
Grilled Turnip with Bacon Fat and Roasted Garlic
Salt Baked Kohlrabi dressed in Spinach Butter
Grilled Little Gem, Broad Bean Leaf, NZ Spinach, Large Leaf Cress, Sourdough Croutons, Fennel Vinaigrette, Berkswell
Guests will also be served a non-alcoholic cocktail from the frequently changing menu.
Liam will also demonstrate how to cook one of Simon’s favourite dishes: Roast gem lettuce, hen of woods, fermented mushroom juice, and elderflower. This dish aptly combines both fresh and preserved produce and was immortalised in Simon’s One Dish book, created in commemoration of the group’s 20th anniversary celebrated in 2022.
A Day at Our Farm Dates:
July: 4th/11th/18th
