He’s an author, a TV chef for This Morning and husband to Fern Britton. Meet Phil Vickery who will be attending this year’s Bishop Auckland Food Festival on Saturday 21st April. We quizzed him before his appearance in the Cookery Theatre:
Are there any cooking gadgets you can’t live without?
Lots and lots, but a few are a decent hand whisk, my Kenwood mixer, a falafel maker I got in Israel and anything nonstick.
Can you name one ingredient you love cooking with, and one that you hate?
I just love good quality in any ingredient, but that doesn’t mean they have to be expensive, just good. An example being frozen wild salmon fillets. Not really a lover of saffron or preserved ginger in any form.
Want to know what Phil’s biggest cooking mishap on live television was? Or whether he takes photos of his meals when out at restaurants?
